March 04, 2022 // Franchising.com // GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is expanding its Michigan presence by opening a new location in Grand Rapids, which also happens to be Mayweather’s hometown. Co-owned by Zachary LeMieux, this new gym is located at 6670 Kalamazoo Avenue SE Suite A, Grand Rapids, Mi. 49508 and is set to open in early to mid-March. This is the first Mayweather Boxing + Fitness for LeMieux.

This particular gym was franchised by Burrel Lee Wilks III, vice-chairman and co-founder of Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, who said he loved the concept so much he wanted to own his own studio.

Offering the most effective group fitness experience on the market today, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness utilizes methods developed throughout Floyd Mayweather’s 21-year undefeated boxing career.

“I started this franchise to help people achieve their fitness goals and feel good about themselves,” said Floyd Mayweather, legendary boxer and co-founder of Mayweather Boxing + Fitness.

Zachary LeMieux was practically raised in the franchising industry. In 2004, his parents and business partners opened the first Tropical Smoothie Café in Michigan and then went on to purchase the development rights for Michigan, Northern Ohio and Colorado. Along with Zachary, his brother, and sister-in-law, they led the development of more than 150 locations in those states.
